I, Jesse Arnett of the County of Wayne and State of Indiana being sound in my memory and recolections but knowing that all men are ones to die, Make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form as follows (to wit)

Item 1st: It is my will and desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be first paid by my executors out of my Estate.

Item 2nd: I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Margaret Arnett all my Estate both real and personal, money and effects to be at her disposal for her benefit so long as she remains my widow but if she should choose to change her way of living and cease to be my widow then she should have one hundred dollars in money out of my estate. But if she should remain my widow until her decease then in that case whtever of property or money may remain it is my will that it be equally divided with all my children or their heirs of their body (namely) Annis Scott Mahalah Scott Adah Rush Thirza Howel Elwood Arnet Lindley Arnett Addison Arnett Edwina Neal and Anna Chinnith(?)

Item 3rd: I give and bequeath to my son Adison Arnett the whole of the farm on which I now live it being the south part of the the NE __ of sec 21 Town17 ____14 supposed to contain 84 acres lying and being in the County of Wayne. Provided he __ paid Addison should pay or cause to be paid one hundred dollars to each of his Sisters and Brothers or the heirs of their bodies with this understanding that it is so understood that this is not to take affect until his Mother should cease to be my widow.

Item 4th: In order that there may be no misconstruction in the language of the second Item. It was intended to mean that at the time of her ceasing to be my widow by death or marriage, then Addison the above named is to take possession of the farm as described in paid ___ and pay to the heirs the one hundred dollars each as described and also to make distribution of the personal property as was directed in said ____ and fruther it is my will that my wife if she should marry should have the privileg of taking a part in all of the one hundred dollars in property if she chooses so to do.
and lastly I constitute and appoint my bleoved wife Margarett Arnett and my Trusty son Addison Arnett my Executors to ___ this my last will and testament.

On testimony of the forgoing will I herunto set my hand this the 16th of the third month 187? (0 or 6) Jesse Arnet of Dover, Wayne Co. Ind

State of Indiana Wayne County, ss: Before me J.W. Moore, Clerk of the Wayn Circuit Court personally came John Comer one of the subscribing witnesses to the forgoing last will and testament of Jesse Arnett late of Wayne County Indidana, deceased and being duly ___ on affirmation says that he was present at the execution of said last will that the same was duly executed that at the time of the execution thereof said testator was of full age to devise his property of sound mind and memory and not under any coercion or restrined that said testator requested him to sign said will as witnesses therto which he accordingly did in the presense of said testator and in the ____ of ____ Knight the other subscribing witnesses thereto.

I James W. Moore Clerk of the Wayne Circuit Court do hereby certify that the above and forgoing last will and testament of Jesse Arnett late of Wayne County State of Indiana, deceased was this day duly admitted to probate and record and the ____ ___ duly made by John Comer one of the subscribing witnesses ___ __ which said will together with ___ ___ have been duly recorded in ---- in Record of Will No 8 Page 240 in this Office
